Winner of a bronze medal at the 2004 Great American Beer Festival, OBP is a pilsner brewed with orange blossom honey. The pour brings on a golden pilsner with not much carbonation and a slight head. The scent isnt particularly overpowering but is still quite pleasant. The taste though is surprisingthe honey smoothes out some of the bite of the pilsner and makes you say, Wow, thats good
thats really good! The main flavor rush happens in the front of the mouth, and the smoothness of the honey slides down the throat. Its a really interesting twist on this style and one that works well.Reviewed by Jill Jaracz on December 28, 2006.
