Comments:
Bad Elmer must be bad because he likes to start fires, because the main characteristic of this beer is its smokiness. Like smoke, the beer is dark, and its foaminess suggests that white smoke that rises first from a fire. That smokiness carries over into the flavor, which is smooth overall, but the smoke lingers, drifting over your tongue after every swallow.
