Comments:
If I wasn’t in the mood for Zima, I’d order a red beer (which may or may not have been Leinie’s) because reds were a little bit better than swill, and I felt cool knowing that.
However, most of the beer one drinks in college, even if it is a “better” beer, still isn’t all that good compared to the great craft stuff that’s around today. Unfortunately, Leinie’s Red still has that not-so-great college taste because although there’s better color and flavor than a macrobeer, it’s a bit watered down. It’s like you’re having a junior microbrew because you can’t quite handle the real thing.
So this Red was a bit disappointing to me now, but I’ll keep the fond memories in my heart.
