So, I was out drinking one night and met this girl. Helen, she said her name was.

She had reddish brown hair, a bit too dark to be called auburn. She smelled nice, not perfumed, but like a girl who knows how to take care of herself. She had a scent that reminded me of hops, and malt, and all things good in this world.

She was a well-built thing, too. She has just the right amount of body, not so heavy you wouldn’t want her on your lap, but not so thin that you think you’re going to break her on a spin around the dance floor, or anywhere else for that matter.

She was smooth, despite having a bit of mouth on her. Somehow a little bitterness added to her charm. Helen was a girl with some depth. She was the kind of girl you could sit with for a while, taking your time to drink in what she had to say and telling her your troubles or your triumphs.

We talked for awhile and things went well.

She took me back to the Hyatt House—I don’t want to talk about it.
